AGRICULTURE AND COW REARING

The lush green ambience, the pure air and pervasive serenity is hallmark of Nandigram. We at Nandigram encourage organic farming by practicing and spreading its awareness among farmers. There is regular production of natural fertilizers (Jeevamrut, Beejamrut and Gokrupamrut etc.) and pesticides for personal consumption. Nandigram also imparts training to likeminded farmers in this direction for wider use. In the same way, we sponsor the outside participation of the farmers in similar workshop. This helps in prevention of the damage caused by the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.

Nandigram is blessed with a Sacred Gir Breed Cows Shelter for more than 20 cows. The cow urine and cow dung are used for production of medicines, organic fertilizers and pesticides. Tiny cow dung cakes prepared here are used for Yagna-Karma. The cooking gas for Nandigram Kitchen is produced by gobar gas plant installed in the premises.
